Wonderful Weekend v.2.3

Valentine's Day is coming up! Use fancy craft or wrapping paper to make some special valentines for a friend. This Girl's Life has some great free Valentine's Day printables. It's not the gift, it's the thought that counts, and they'll love the thought so much they'll hopefully forget all about not having that special someone (besides you) in their life.

Feel like the cold winter will never end? Hold a soup party with friends. Everyone can bring a favorite variety to share (or make my spicy black bean soup). Complete the evening with a fun film. You'll feel warm and cozy in no time!

Plan a clothing swap with a group of friends. Bring all the totally chic clothes you haven't worn lately, and trade with each other. It's just like shopping for brand new outfits - for free! What's better than that?

Grab a girlfriend and take a belly-dancing class together for a guaranteed night of exercise, laughter, and stories to tell for years to come. Check out US Belly Dance Classes to find a course near you.

Plan a family heritage night with friends. Have everyone bring over family photos and keepsakes. You can create a family tree or just share stories. You'll learn a lot about each other's family history and have fun in the process.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. What are your plans?

Wonderful Weekend v.4.2

Grab your  Rachael Ray enamel cookware set, gather your friends and host a potluck. You can each pick a different culinary style and expand your horizons!

Locate your nearest animal shelter and volunteer! Slip into your charming little Vince Cable Crop sweater and spend the day with amazing animals. The cute little cats and dogs will immediately adore you. What's a better pick me up than that?

Candid Coco
How could you resist a face as cute as this?

Share your passion for reading by forming a book club that explores stories about friendship about the ages. A great novel to start out with is The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Keep it low-stress by asking a local bookstore or coffee house if you can meet there.

Blast some Spice Girls, Christina Aguilera, *NSYNC, Vanilla Ice and other 90s music and jump up and down on the bed, singing into your hairbrush as if no one were watching. Do the macarena. You'll get a good workout without even realizing it.

Slip on your Merona ® Blue Wool Beret and spend the weekend with nothing but a canvas and paint. Oh, how easy it is to unleash your fantastic French artiste when something so simple as a hat is placed upon your head. Then when the weekend is over reveal your creations to the world. As the award-winning novelist Jane Porter once stated:
"Happiness is not perfected unless it is shared."
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. What are your plans?

Wonderful Weekend

Saturdays and Sundays roll around and I'm normally left up to my own devices. No school, no homework, no one to answer to it's GREAT. That is until I get bored. One of my absolute favorite blogs café fashionista used to feature a series called 'Why Don't You. . .?' so I decided to pick up where she left off.  Once a month I'll post some fabulous idea that are tons of fun and also allow you to give back a little. So why don't you...?

Yard sales and flea markets are the perfect place to find undiscovered treasures super cheap, and with websites like American Fleas locating one in your area is easier than ever. Go out and start digging for your perfect find.

A nature hike with friends is the perfect chance to get away for a little while. You could make it a little more fun and pack a picnic while you soak in the trees, plants and gorgeous weather together.

Get out and enjoy the beautiful day with your four-legged friend. I know Wilfred loves the outdoors just at much as I do. I love taking him to the park to play in the lake and chase after the ducks. You'll love spending the day at the dog park, and maybe you and your pup can make some new friends.

He's got his eye on those ducks. . .
. . .Meanwhile the ducks are just chilling.
There are always local youth organizations that could use some extra help. Volunteering not only makes a difference in your life, but makes a major one in there's as well. Find Youth Info lets you find youth organizations that cover an array of topics. Grab a friend and y'all can make a difference for some amazing kids!

I hope I've inspired you all with some fun weekend ideas. Have fun!
